Same Sex Marriage Is Not an Equal Rights Issue.

To almost all of us, marriage has always been between a man and a woman. More than 30 states have confirmed that through balloting. The recent California vote on Proposition 8 confirms it once again. So why are gay activists crying that they are being denied equal rights?

They are not being denied equal rights at all. Every gay man has the right to marry a woman. Every gay woman can marry a man. They can do it in every state in the union. The fact that they choose not to exercise that right is not our denial of their rights, it’s their demand for more, or special, rights.
