To almost all of us, marriage has always been between a man and a woman. More than 30 states have confirmed that through balloting. The recent California vote on Proposition 8 confirms it once again. So why are gay activists crying that they are being denied equal rights?

Mr. Obama, you have said that you are more than words. Well, Mr. Obama, that is what is so disturbing to many of us. You have claimed that your own words are attacks on you. We hear you say things and then hear you say, “I never said that.”

This isn’t the first election that I felt that the wrong choices were being shoved down my throat. There is an effort on the part of both political parties to move America way to the left. By all appearances, Mr. Obama is to the left of everything this country stands for. Mr. McCain seems to have few traditional values either.

Liberal Mayors are shaking in their boots. They have gotten away with stupid gun laws for a long time. Did they really think that making gun ownership illegal was going to stop gun violence? The cities with strictest gun laws have the highest rate of shootings. Every time they tightened their laws, the rate rose even more.

The politicians aren't doing anything about gas prices. In fact, I think they're enjoying it. Every time you fill up your gas tank, they get 15% of whatever you pay. And, then they say that it's the fault of the evil oil companies. The problem with that is that the evil oil companies have to find the oil, get the oil, refine the oil and deliver it. For all that work, they make 4%.

I haven't had anything to say for quite a while. With the primaries in full swing, I need to get something off my chest. All the candidates, from both parties, are putting themselves up as the agents of change. The media-anointed candidates, Hillary, Barack and McCain use the word "change" the most. Isn't it ironic how sitting politicians, collecting the people's money while out campaigning, are saying that they want to change the way Washington works. They are the reason Washington works the way it does.

It seems that all the Democratic Presidential Candidates are proud of not appearing on Fox News. I don’t understand it. Fox News has the well earned slogan of “Fair and Balanced”. They go out of their way to be fair to all guests…especially Democrats. Their approach to news coverage reminds me of the old movies that depicted life as a newspaper reporter, “Just the facts please”.
